Indian Institute of Management Indore has invited applications for admission to Five Year Integrated Postgraduate Programme in Management (IPGP) of Academic Year 2011-12.

Eligibility criteria:Eligibility criteria for this programme are 60% aggregate marks at Secondary/ X Std/ Equivalent and at Higher Secondary/XII/+2 level/ Equivalent. Government of India reservation norms would be followed while admitting the candidates. PhD/MSc (Engineering) Admission at Kerala University

Applications have been invited in the prescribed form, from eligible candidates for registration for Full time / Part time research, leading to PhD / MSc (Engineering) by research degree of the Kerala University, for the July 2011 session, subject to availability of vacancies.

Eligibility:
A. Candidates to be considered eligible to apply for registration for PhD research should have:
i. Masters degree or its equivalent with not less than 55% marks
ii. Qualified in the Entrance Test conducted by Kerala University or National Eligibility Test conducted by the UGC / CSIR / ICAR / ICMR or GATE or State Level Eligibility Test conducted by the Kerala Government or Fellowship awarded by the KSCSTE or MPhil degree by research and thesis.

B. For MSc (Engineering by research), the candidate should have
i. Bachelors Degree holders in Engineering with not less than 55% marks
ii. Qualified in the GATE or Entrance Test conducted by Kerala University or State Level Eligibility Test conducted by the Kerala Government.

Relaxation of marks:
Candidates who have got a minimum of ten years of teaching experience at a College or University are eligible for a relaxation of 5% marks. However, in no cases a candidate is having less than 50% marks be granted registration.

Notwithstanding the above candidates belonging to Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes who have secured 45% marks in Science subjects and 40% marks in Arts and Commerce subjects can apply for registration for PhD research, provided they satisfy the other eligibility requirements stipulated in this notification. Physically / visually challenged candidates are eligible for a relaxation of 5% marks for registration for research leading to PhD Degree.

Exemption from entrance test:
i. College / University teachers with seven or more years of teaching experience and candidates with DM / MCh Degree are exempted from the Entrance Test.
ii. Scientists / Engineers working in approved Research Laboratories either owned or managed by the Central / State Government or in Autonomous Research
Institutions of National Status, with seven years experience in the Grade Scientist / Engineer having two research papers published in the recognised research journals of the concerned subject approved by the Board of Studies concerned, are exempted from the PhD Entrance Test.
iii. Candidates with DBT-JRF are exempted from the PhD Entrance Test and they are permitted to register for research leading to PhD Degree in Biotechnology.
iv. Scientists / Ayurveda Doctors working in Pharmaceuticals / Hospitals / Research Centres owned by Government with 7 years experience and having 2 research papers published are exempted from the PhD Entrance Test.

Part-time registration:
Part-time PhD registration shall be restricted to regular / permanent teachers in the concerned subjects, of the Departments and affiliated Colleges of the University of Kerala.
Part-time registration is also extended to teachers who are working in substantive vacancies in Government and Aided Colleges in the State of Kerala. However, the facility of part-time PhD registration (1) in Library and Information Science is also extended to those who are working as Library Staff in the University of Kerala on regular basis with a minimum of 3 years experience, if all other conditions are satisfied and (2) in Management Studies is extended to those working in managerial position with a minimum of 3 years experience in Government and Public Sector undertakings, provided all other conditions are satisfied.

Applications for part-time registration should be accompanied by a No Objection Certificate from the appointing authority and stating that they are appointed on a regular basis in the College / Department.

EligibilityCandidates should have passed BA / B.Sc degree exams under the 10+2+3 pattern with one main subject and two subsidiary subjects from M G University or any other university recognized by M G University as equivalent thereto for admission, subject to the stipulation regarding marks.The minimum requirement for admission to B.Ed course is 50% marks in Bachelor’s degree (Science/Arts subjects) in Part III.

EligibilityCandidates should have passed BA / B.Sc degree exams under the 10+2+3 pattern with one main subject and two subsidiary subjects from M G University or any other university recognized by M G University as equivalent thereto for admission, subject to the stipulation regarding marks.The minimum requirement for admission to B.Ed course is 50% marks in Bachelor’s degree (Science/Arts subjects) in Part III.
However the eligibility of candidates who have passed degree examination in double/triple main, Model II vocational and other specialized subjects/streams will be governed by rules and regulations of MG university. In the case of candidates who have passed examinations of other Universities, they will be admitted only if these examinations have been declared equivalent to the qualifying examinations of MG University.
Candidates seeking admission on the basis of the language under Part I & II need 50% marks for the part concerned and 50% for Post Graduate course in the same language. Candidates applying for the course under the language stream with a bachelor’s degree in the subject concerned will be ranked first in that particular stream. Candidates applying for the course under any language stream based on Part I / Part II at under graduate level and having PG Degree in the same subject as in Part I / Part II will be ranked only after that.

Academic Requirements
i) Pass in Higher Secondary Examination of the Board of Higher Secondary Education of Kerala or an examination recognized equivalent thereto with at least Fifty percent marks in Mathematics separately and Fifty percent marks in Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry / equivalent subjects put together or equivalent grade. 

ii) Applicants should have completed 17 years of age on 31st December 2010. No relaxation of age will be allowed.

iii) Candidates should qualify in the Engineering Entrance Exam conducted by Commissioner of Entrance Exams, Govt. of Kerala. Candidates applying for Architecture course should additionally qualify in NATA.

How to Apply:
The Common Prospectus along with application form can be obtained from the respective member college on payment of Rs. 300 (Rs. Three hundred only) The Application shall be submitted as detailed below:
Separate application forms shall be submitted to each college and the candidate is free to apply to as many colleges as needed. Application form issued by one college cannot be used for applying in another college.
Applications can be submitted on the pre-printed forms available with the prospectus from the colleges.
OR
Application forms can be downloaded from the website of the respective member institutions. Such applications have to be submitted along with a DD of Rs. 300/- in favour of the respective college.
OR
Application forms can be submitted online on the website of the some of the colleges which have provision for the same. After submission a printout of the application along with copies of documents affixing the photograph & signature and DD of Rs. 300/- in favour of respective colleges shall be submitted.

The duly filled in application along with self attested copies of necessary documents shall be submitted directly or by registered post with A/D to the respective college so as to reach there on or before 27-06-2011.

Self -attested copies of Certificates / Documents of the following shall be submitted along with the application:
