Entrance Examination for Admission to LL.M Course 2011-12

 Applications are  invited for the Entrance Examination for admission to  LL.M Course -
2011-12 in the Government Law Colleges at Thiruvananthapuram, Ernakulam, Thrissur and
Kozhikode.


 Eligibility for Admission

(i)  Nativity: Applicant should be an Indian citizen of Kerala Origin. 
(ii) Academic qualifications: Candidates who have passed the L.L.B. examination (5 year / 3
year course) with a minimum of 50% marks from the Universities in Kerala or other
Universities recognized by the Universities in  Kerala as equivalent thereto are eligible for
admission. Candidates appearing / appeared for the regular Final year LL.B. examination can
also apply for the Entrance Examination. Such candidates become eligible for admission only
if they produce the Provisional Degree / Degree Certificate of the qualifying examination and
the mark lists of all parts of the qualifying examination at the time of allotment of seats.
 (iii) Age: There is no upper age limit for admission to   LL. M Course.

Entrance Examination:  The Entrance Examination will be conducted at
Thiruvananthapuram, on 15.01.2012 (Sunday). The Questions of the Entrance Examination
will be of objective type. There shall be two papers each of 90 minutes duration, from 9.30am
to 11.00am and 11.30 am to 1.00pm. Each paper will have 100 questions. The questions shall
be of the standard of LL.B Examination.

website of Commissioner for Entrance Examinations,
www.cee-kerala.org . Keralites residing
inside Kerala State, can remit the application fee (Rs.800/- Rupees Eight Hundred only) in any
branch of the State bank of Travancore using the Chalan provided on page No.5 of the
application form. The original Chalan contained in page No.5 shall be attached with the
application form duly signed and authorized by Bank authorities on remittance of application
fees. Keralites residing outside Kerala State, can remit the application fee by attaching a
Demand Draft for the requisite amount drawn on a Nationalized Bank in favour of the Commissioner for Entrance Examinations,  payable at Thiruvananthapuram. The application
fees once remitted will not be refunded under any circumstances.
. Last date and time for receipt of filled-in application forms Completed applications with all the documents should be forwarded to the Commissioner for
Entrance Examinations, Housing Board Buildings, 5th Floor, Santhinagar,
Thiruvananthapuram – 695 001 either by Registered Post or by hand delivery so as to reach
him before 5 pm on 30.12.2011. Late applications including those brought after 5 PM on 30.12.2011 will not be accepted.
The Commissioner for Entrance Examinations will not be responsible for any postal delay.
Incomplete, defective and wrongly addressed applications will be summarily rejected and no
correspondence will be undertaken in this regard.
After submission of the application, candidates will not be allowed to include any
information in the application form or submit  any certificate claiming reservation or other
benefits under any circumstances.
Candidates must note that they have to obtain the required certificates in the body of the
application form itself, wherever necessary. The certificates that are attached separately in the
application form will not be considered.
Admit cards can be downloaded from the website
www.cee.kerala.gov.in from 09.01.2012.
.The centralized allotment of seats will be notified after the publication of the results of the
entrance examination. Individual intimation will not be sent to candidates in this regard. All
certificates in support of various claims preferred in the application form will have to be
submitted at the time of allotment. No extension of time will be granted for this.
.The Entrance Examination and subsequent allotments will be based on the various
provisions laid down in the prospectus, approved by Government. Candidates are directed to
go through the various provisions in the Prospectus available in the official website of the
Commissioner for Entrance Examinations at 
www.cee-kerala.org before submitting their
applications.

Candidates should have been born on or after 1st July 1991. He/She should have passed in the final examination of 10+2 ( class XII ) or its equivalent securing at least 60% marks in Mathematics, and minimum of 55% marks separately in Physics and Chemistry with an aggregate of 60% in the three subjects or should have obtained a three year Diploma in Engineering awarded by any State Board of Technical Education, with minimum 60% marks. Those who are appearing for the above examinations in April / May 2012 and expect to secure minimum marks as above may also apply.
Application Form: Application forms will be issued from 20.12.2011 (Tuesday) till 27.03.2012 (Tuesday). Application form will be in a format that can be processed by Optical Mark Reader (OMR). Cost of Application kit is Rs. 850/-, which covers the cost of Application form, University Brochure, Information Handbook and Examination fee.

It can be obtained from the University counter of Amrita Schools of Engineering at Amritapuri, Bengaluru and Coimbatore on producing a DD for Rs.850/- drawn in favour of ‘Amrita School of Engineering’, payable at Coimbatore.
It can be obtained from designated Post Offices, branches of AXIS Bank, Dhanlaxmi Bank Ltd., Karur Vysya Bank (Tamil Nadu) & Federal Bank on payment of Rs.850/-. The list of outlets will be available at http://amrita.edu/admissions/admissions.php

Such applicants should submit the printout of the application in an A4 sheet with a passport size colour photograph affixed in the specified location, along with a DD for Rs.850/-. Applicants should write his/her Name and ‘B.Tech Application’, on the back of the Demand Draft, when a Demand Draft is attached. Applicants may keep a photocopy of the application and Demand Draft with them for future reference.
Last Date for submission of Application: Duly filled-in application (OMR & On-line), should reach ‘The Admission Co-ordinator, Amrita School of Engineering, Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, (P.O) Amritanagar, Ettimadai, Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu-641 112’, latest by 30.03. 2012 (Friday).
Examination: The Examination of 3 hours duration will have only one question paper containing objective type questions from Mathematics (60 questions), Physics (30) and Chemistry (30). Each question will be followed by four answers of which only one will be correct/most appropriate. Maximum marks will be 360. Three marks will be awarded for every correct answer. One mark will be deducted for each wrong answer. If no response is indicated in the answer sheet against a question, no marks will be awarded or deducted. If more than one answer is indicated against a question, it will be treated as ‘incorrect answer’ and mark will be deducted. The answer sheets are machine graded and scrutinized with precision. Hence request for revaluation, rechecking or re-totaling will not be entertained. The question booklet will be in English.
Rank List: Rank list will be published in the University website within four weeks from the date of examination.
Counseling: Counseling for admission will be held in May/June 2012. Counseling call letter will be sent to eligible candidates after the publication of rank list. The counseling schedule will be available in the university website at that time. Counseling will be arranged simultaneously in the three campuses using satellite connectivity. Candidate can appear for counseling in any one of the three campuses and opt a branch in any campus according to his/her preference and availability of seat. But candidates who have studied and passed +2 examination in Karnataka state are advised to attend the counseling at the Bengaluru campus. A certain percentage of seats in each campus will be earmarked for the candidates from the State in which the campus is situated. Candidate must be physically present for counseling. Parent/Guardian should accompany the candidate for counseling.
At the time of Counseling, candidates should produce originals of the following:
(i)Marks statements of class X and XII
(ii)Hall tickets of class XII Examination & Amrita Entrance Examination-Engg. 2012
(iii)Transfer Certificate from the school last attended
(iv)Community certificate in case of SC / ST
(v)Other testimonials as specified in the call letter.
If the original certificates are not produced by a candidate, he/she will not be permitted to attend the counseling. When a candidate accepts the seat allotment, his/her original certificates will be retained by the University, unless otherwise decided by competent authority.
Fees: The Annual Tuition fee for the Programme is Rs. 1,15,000/- at Amritapuri (Kollam) and Bengaluru and RS. 1,25,000/- at Ettimadai (Coimbatore). The total amount payable at the three campuses at the time of admission will be RS. 1,51,500/- (Amritaopuri), Rs.1,53,000/- (Bengaluru) and Rs.1,68,000/- (Coimbatore). Before seat allotment, each candidate has to pay Rs. 30,000/- by Demand Draft as part of tuition fees. Candidates are required to pay the balance fees and complete all other formalities within the time limit prescribed in the provisional admission order. The time limit will normally be ten days from the date of counselling. Request for extension of time for payment of fees will not be entertained. If a candidate fails to remit the fees on the stipulated date his/her admission will get automatically cancelled without any notice.
Scholarship Scheme: Scholarship will be provided to15% of the top ranking candidates, who passed the qualifying examination from Kerala, Karnataka and Tamil Nadu and admitted in the respective campuses. Scholarship amount of Rs.50,000/- per annum will be waived from the tuition fees. Award of scholarship will be governed by the rules framed for the purpose.The first year B.Tech classes are expected to start by the last week of July.
Withdrawal: Refund of fees will be made as per the regulations of the Govt.of India. If a student admitted to the B.Tech. programme withdraws from the programme before the starting of the classes, the fees collected from the student will be refunded after deducting a processing fee of Rs.1000/-. If a student leaves after starting the classes, but before closing the admission, and if the seat consequently falling vacant is filled by another candidate before the last date of admission, the University will return the fees collected with proportionate deductions of monthly fees. If the vacancy is not filled up as above, the fee will not be refunded.
No refund will be given to a student leaving after the closing of admissions. The date of closing of admissions will be announced by the University.

M.Tech (CS) 2012 at GEC, Thrissur

Applications have been invited by Govt.Engineering College, Thrissur for admission to Post Graduate Degree Course in Engineering (M.Tech Computer Science) being offered in the year 2011-12 to the graduates in Engineering for awarding Masters Degree.
Eligibility for admission:a)  The candidates shall be an Indian National
b)  The candidates should have studied the Graduate course(B.Tech Computer Science   or  B.Tech I.T ) in an institution approved by the AICTE/Deemed Universities.
c)  Candidates  should  have  a  minimum  of  60%  aggregate  marks  in  the Engineering Degree  examination. For SC/ST candidates a pass in the Engineering Degree course is sufficient.
d) Candidates, who have passed AMIE/AMIETE Examinations and satisfying the following  conditions, are eligible for admission to institutions under University of  Calicut.
 1) They must have valid GATE score.
 2) A minimum of 55% marks for section B in AMIE/AMIETE examination.
 3) Minimum three years of Professional experience in the field of Specialization after acquiring the qualifying degree.
e) In case seats remain vacant due to lack of candidates with valid GATE score, candidates from  Kerala State  without valid GATE  score will be considered against such vacancies.
Equivalency:Any course equivalent  to B.Tech Computer Science  and  B.Tech I.T which is recognized by Calicut University.   
Reservation of seats:
a)  5% Seats out of total 18 seats are reserved for candidates belonging to SEBC.  Only candidates having annual income less than Rs. 4.5 lakhs will be eligible for reservation under this category.
b) 15% Seats are reserved for SC/ST candidates.
c) The seats reserved for each category will be distributed among the eligible communities by  observing the pattern of general reservation rules of the state.

GPAT 2012: Apply Online from Jan 14

 Graduate Pharmacy Aptitude Test (GPAT-2012), the all India Examination will be conducted by The Maharaja Sayajirao University of Baroda, Vadodara on behalf of All India Council for Technical Education, New Delhi on 6th May 2012 (Sunday).
The registration (process for application by the Applicants) will be ONLINE for GPAT-2012 Examination (the actual examination will be a paper/pencil examination) commencing from 14th January 2012 (Saturday).
The Scores in Graduate Aptitude Test for Engineering (GATE) have been in use till the year 2010 for admission in Master’s Programme in Pharmacy (M. Pharm) and also for awarding fellowships/scholarships to Pharmacy Graduates along with engineering graduates 
Pattern of GPAT Examination:
GPAT-2012 Examination will be similar to that of GPAT-2011 Examination, wherein the candidate will mark the correct answer out of four options in an Optical Response Sheet (ORS) by darkening the appropriate bubble with the help of pencil

GPAT Qualification:
Admission to postgraduate programmes with MHRD and other government scholarships/assistantships in pharmacy colleges/institutes is open to those who qualify through GPAT. Candidates, who qualify GPAT examination and have Four years Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy, are eligible for admission to Masters/Doctoral programmes in Pharmacy. To avail the scholarship, the candidate must secure admission to such a postgraduate programme, as per the prevailing procedure of the admitting institution. However, candidates with Master’s degree in Pharmacy may seek admission to relevant Ph.D. programmes with scholarship/assistantship without appearing in the GPAT examination. Some institutions specify GPAT qualification as mandatory even for admission of self-financing students to postgraduate programmes. GPAT qualified candidates are also eligible for the award of Junior Research Fellowship in CSIR Laboratories and CSIR/UGC sponsored projects
Eligibility:
The following candidates are eligible to appear for GPAT-2012: 
Bachelor’s degree holders in Pharmacy (4 years after 10+2, including lateral entry candidates) and those who are in the final year of B. Pharmacy course are eligible for appearing in GPAT-2012 examination.
Application Fee & Submission Process:
(a) The application fee is Rs. 1000/- for General & OBC Category candidates, and Rs. 500/- for SC/ST/PD* Category candidates. The application fee is inclusive of bank charges. Application fee once remitted to the bank will be NON-REFUNDABLE under any circumstances.

(b) The mode of applying for GPAT-2012 Examination will be ONLINE. The detailed process of ONLINE application is described at appropriate place in the website

Once the ONLINE application process is completed by a candidate, a printout of the completed application form having photograph and signature of the applicant along with the original GPAT copy of the bank challan has to be sent to GPAT Office, The M.S. University of Baroda, Vadodara. The last date for receipt of the duly completed printout of application form at GPAT Office is 27th February 2012 (Monday) up to 17.00 Hrs.
(c) The application details (i.e. personal details like corrections in name, date of birth, category etc. and other details like examination city/choice of examination center etc.) will not be modified under any circumstance. However, in case of extraordinary situations, a change will be entertained on request in writing, on case to case basis by remitting a fee of Rs. 400/- in favor of “GPAT” as DD/cheque payable at Vadodara.

CMAT FOR MBA PGDM ADMISSION


Eligibility Criteria

Graduates in any discipline or Final year students of Graduate Courses can apply for CMAT.

AIPMT 2012 on April 1 & May 13

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has announced the dates of the AIPMT 2012 Preliminary and Final Examinations for admission of candidates to the 15% All India Quota seats for MBBS/BDS. AIPMT Preliminary Examination will be held on 1st April, 2012 (Sunday) and the AIPMT Final Examination, on 13th May, 2012 (Sunday) as per a press release issued by the CBSE yesterday.
In the Press release, CBSE has clarified that this has been necessitated on account of the permission sought from the Supreme Court by the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India to allow introduction of NEET for Under Graduate Medical Courses from the academic year 2013-14 instead of 2012-13.
Central Board of Secondary Education has also made it clear that the eligibility conditions, centre cities, syllabus, pattern, etc. will remain the similar to AIPMT 2011 Examination for which the information is already available on website www.aipmt.nic.in and that the schedule for the submission of application forms would be shortly communicated.
The All India Pre-Medical/Pre-Dental Entrance Examination, 2012 will be for admission to the 15% All India Quota seats for MBBS/BDS courses, in the Medical/Dental Colleges of India except Jammu & Kashmir and Andhar Pradesh, as specified in the directive of the Hon’ble Supreme Court of India. This will be conducted by the Central Board of Secondary Education, Delhi in two stages.
Preliminary Examination: The first stage of the entrance examination, the Preliminary Examination to be held on April 1, 2012(Sunday), would consist of one paper of 3 hours duration containing 200 objective type questions from Physics, Chemistry and Biology (Botany & Zoology). Each question will be followed by four options with single correct answer which is to be marked on the specially designed machine-gradable sheet using Ball Point Pen only.
Final Examination: The Final Examination for those who qualify in the Preliminary Examination, will be held on May 13, 2012 (Sunday), would also consist of one paper of 3 hours duration with 120 objective type questions from Physics, Chemistry and Biology (Botany & Zoology). Each question will have four options with single correct answer, to be marked on the specially designed machine-gradable sheet using Ball Point Pen only.
Centres of Examination : The Preliminary Examination is expected to be held at Itanagar, Agartala, Port Blair, Shillong , Imphal, Panaji, Puducherry, Guwahati, Trivandrum, Cochin, Bhubaneshwar, Chennai, Patna, Ranchi, Mumbai, Nagpur, Ahmedabad, Shimla, Lucknow, Noida, Dehradun, Chandigarh, Delhi, Kolkata, Bangaluru, Bhopal, Raipur and Jaipur.  The final Examination is expected to be held at Cochin, Bhubaneshwar, Chennai, Ranchi, Mumbai, Lucknow, Delhi, Kolkata, Bhopal and Jaipur.
ELIGIBILITY:
Nationality and Age: Applicant should be an Indian National and should have completed 17 years at the time of admission or should be completing the age on or before 31st December, 2012. Upper age limit will be 25 years as on 31st December, 2012. This would be relaxed by 5 years for Scheduled Castes/Scheduled Tribes/Other Backward Classes. So, applicants should have been born on or between 1.1.83 and 1.1.96 in case of SC/ST/OBC Category and on or between 1.1.88 and 1.1.96 in case of all other categories.
Qualifying examinations: Applicant should have passed any one of the following qualifying examinations
(i) Higher/Senior Secondary Examination or the Indian School Certificate Examination which is equivalent to 10+2 Higher/Senior Secondary Examination after a period of 12 years study, the last two years of such study with Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Bio-technology (which shall include practical tests in these subjects) and Mathematics or any other elective subject with English at a level not less than the core course for English as prescribed by the National Council of Educational Research and Training after introduction of the 10+2+3 educational structure as recommended by the National Committee on Education 
(ii) The Intermediate/Pre-Degree Examination in Science of an Indian University/Board or other recognized examining body with Physics, Chemistry, Biology /Bio-technology (which shall include practical test in these subjects) and English
(iii) The Pre-professional/Pre-medical Examination with Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Bio-technology & English after passing either the Higher Secondary Examination or the Pre-University or an equivalent examination. The Pre-professional/Pre-medical examination shall include practical test in these subjects
(iv) The first year of the 3 Year Degree course of a recognized University with Physics, Chemistry and Biology/Biotechnology including practical tests in these subjects provided the examination is a University Examination and further that applicant has passed the earlier qualifying examination with Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Bio-technology and English.
(v) B.Sc. Examination of an Indian University provided that applicant has passed the B.Sc. Examination with not less than two of the subjects Physics, Chemistry, Biology (Botany, Zoology)/Bio-technology and further that he/she has passed the earlier qualifying examination with Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English 
(vi) Any other examination which in scope and standard (Last 2 years of 10+2 Study comprising of Physics, Chemistry and Biology/Bio-technology; which shall include practical test in these subjects.) is found to be equivalent to the Intermediate Science Examination of an Indian University/Board, taking Physics, Chemistry and Biology/Bio-technology including practical tests in each of these subjects and English.
Appearing candidates: Those taking the qualifying examination prior to the competitive test or those awaiting result were also permitted to apply for AIPMT. However, such applicants were not be eligible for admission to MBBS/BDS, if he/she did not pass the qualifying examination with the required pass percentage of marks at the time of first round of allotment by personal appearance.
Marks requirement: Applicants were required to have passed in Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Bio-technology and English individually and required to have obtained a minimum of 50% marks taken together in Physics, Chemistry and Biology/Bio-technology at the qualifying examination and in the competitive entrance examination. SC/ST/OBC applicants needed only 40% marks for Physics, Chemistry and Biology /Bio-technology together in the qualifying examination and competitive entrance examination. For persons with locomotory disability of lower limbs, the minimum marks was 45% for General-PH and 40% for SCPH/ST-PH/OBC-PH. Students of Indian Nationality educated abroad seeking admission to Medical colleges in India must have passed in Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Bio-technology and English upto the 12th standard level with 50% marks and their equivalency will be determined as per regulations of the Medical Council of India and the concerned University.
Reservation: 15% seats were reserved for SC candidates, 7.5% for ST candidates and 27% for Non-Creamy layer OBC candidates in Central Educational Institutions only as per Hon’ble Supreme Court order dated 10.04.2008. Reservation would be applicable to the castes mentioned in the Central list of OBC. 3% seats are reserved on horizontal basis for PH candidates. The reservation will be made as per 2200 point reservation roster. The mode of implementation of reservation will be available atwww.mohfw.nic.in
Submission of Application: In 2011, there was provision for online submission and Offline submission of applications. The fee was Rs.700/- (General /OBC)/Rs. 350/- (SC/ST) which was to be remitted by Credit card or through Demand Draft drawn in favour of the’ Secretary, C.B.S.E., Delhi‘, on any Nationalized bank, payable at Delhi.
After submitting all the required details as per the instructions given at the site, applicants were required to take a print of the Online Application. The print out of the computer generated Application Form was to be sent by Speed Post / Regd. Post to reach the Board on or before the last date.
Offline Application Forms: For those applying offline, the Information Bulletin containing Application Form could be obtained on payment of Rs.800/- (General/OBC)/Rs. 450/- (SC/ST) by cash, from any of the 177 notified branches of Canara Bank . Banks charged Rs. 5/- as Service Charge for the sale of Information Bulletin in addition to the fee.

PG Diploma 2012 at NITIE, Mumbai

Applications have been invited by National Institute of Industrial Engineering (NITIE), Mumbai for admission to the following courses of Year 2012-14:
